Jamann Arts Consulting provides a range of arts consultancy and curatorial services across a broad spectrum of disciplines in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. We have access to a global network of artists working across the region and specialize in developing particular projects, matching artistic skills and connecting people throughout the global artistic community.  Additionally we provide hands-on interim management, executive search and recruitment services, advice on policy development and planning, development of strategic business plans, sourcing alternative revenue streams, assistance with funding applications, overview of facilities & programme planning, and general organisational development services for the arts and culture industry. We represent a number of international artists and also specialise in the development of policy and guidelines for the care and protection of children and young people using publically funding arts resources and facilities.

Our mission is to assist organisations and individuals reach their full potential by helping them promote access, appreciation, awareness and enjoyment of the arts in all media by offering the highest standards of international service.  As passion for the arts is at our core, we also offer a range of pro bono sevices to not for profit arts organisations and facilities.

Catherine Abbott


Catherine is an Arts Professional with 17 years senior management experience across a variety of multi disciplinary arts venues and programmes in Ireland, The United Arab Emirates, Oman and Morocco as well as project managing two flagship gallery and studio developments. She has particular knowledge, education and experience in the area of the arts, marketing, event, project management and strategic planning and has a deep passion for the arts in all media. Her extensive range of work includes the following:


CV is a Moroccan organisation whose mission is to enhance cross cultural exchange and dialogue through art ventures and culture programs by connecting artist to audience, tradition to the contemporary and local to global. Through their program of tours, workshops, residencies, exhibitions and cultural events they have gained a foothold in the arena of responsible tourism, cross cultural exchange and multidisciplinary and multilingual arts dialogue. Jamann Arts Consulting worked with the organization in a variety of ways through direct facilitation, capacity building, audience development, residency support assistance and contribution to online content.

Fez Centre for Cultural Innovation, Morocco

Jamann Arts Consulting worked with the organisation on a consultancy basis developing a strategic policy, business plan and artistic programme for The Fez Centre for Cultural Innovation, a new organisation whose mission is to create culturally innovative activities that have a deep social impact with a particular focus on cultural diversity. The organisation wishes to facilitate social change through cultural activities that promote the creation, appreciation and engagement of the arts in all media in Fez and the surrounding region, while also assisting artists to reach their full potential through professional career development opportunities.

Stal Gallery, Muscat, Oman

In 2012 Catherine was appointed by the Alserkal Group to develop a business plan, establish, manage and curate a new flagship art gallery, studio and art foundation in Muscat. The goal was to provide a venue and facilities in Muscat for audiences and artists, primarily but not solely for the visual arts, which offered the highest standards of design, programme and operation, forming an artistic hub for creation, exhibition and engagement, with a national and international profile. This contemporary project is now a major cultural hub in the region and regarded as one of the leading visual arts spaces in Oman.

Athlone Castle, Luan Gallery & Abbey Road Artists Studios, Athlone, Ireland

Catherine worked with Athlone Town Council over a number of years to source funding for the development of an €8 million project that comprised of the first dedicated Visual Arts Gallery and associated non residential artists studios in the Midlands area along with the redevelopment of Athlone Castle. The development was nationally supported by the Department of Tourism and Arts and opened in 2012.

Music Generation Offaly/ Westmeath, Ireland

Through a partnership approach in her role as Westmeath Arts Officer Catherine worked with Offaly and Westmeath County Councils to secure funding of €1 million as part of Ireland’s new National Music Education Programme. Initiated by Music Network and co-funded by pop group U2, The Ireland Funds, The Department of Education and Skills and Local Music Edcuation Partnerships. Music Generation aims to help children and young people to access music education in their own locality. It is a five-year programme (2010 – 2015), which is locally provided within a national framework.

Other projects include: Morocco Exchange, Royal Opera House Muscat, The British Council, Vibrate Dance Festival, Midlands Youth Orchestra, Tricksters Theatre Company, Athlone Literary Festival, Westmeath Children’s Book Festival, Midlands Arts and Culture Magazine and Westmeath Culture Night.
